Seattle Seahawks Release 12th Man

Goodbye, old friend.

By Jonathan HollisSEATTLE - Citing “irreconcilable differences,” “general toxicity,” and “spamming our Facebook page with ‘FIRE RUSSELL WILSON,’” Seahawks general manager John Schnieder announced the release of The 12th Man Monday morning. A 47-year veteran, The 12th Man reportedly could not reach a mutual point of understanding with Seahawks management, after publicly bashing the team online. Many saw the split as inevitable, as The 12th Man has made no effort to hide his frustrations with the team’s season, taking to social media frequently to publicly vent about team issues, including personal attacks on head coach Pete Carroll. “There’s just no place for that,” said Carroll when asked about the 12th Man, who tweeted just yesterday that he looked like “Ellen in 40 years.”The venting didn’t stop there.“If your [sic] not gonna use DK then trade him,” The 12th Man posted on Reddit, despite not understanding the basics of offensive play calling and scheme. That frustration has even started to affect Man’s teammates. “When you go out there with your guys, you don't want one of them chirping at you about how ‘Geno Smith is trash,’ and ‘we'd be better with Cam Newton instead of Geno Smith,’ and ‘Geno Smith couldn't hold Cam Newton's jockstrap,’” said quarterback Geno Smith. Wasting no time, the 12th Man has reportedly already eyed the Seattle Kraken as a potential landing spot, per source.“He’s already got the right color scheme, it would be very easy for him to transition to hockey,” the source added.End of the Bench will have more as this story develops.
